Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:2-3 KJV
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he hateth his brother in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:9-11 KJV
This prayer is for anyone who has ever said anything against their parents, even in a jesting/joking manner. I suggest this prayer if you’ve ever complained or even slightly spoken about your parents to others. I also highly suggest never making any remarks that are slightly questionable towards or about your parents and to immediately repent after. Majority of God’s judgments are unsearchable, especially towards the honor of father & mother.
Prayers of repentance:
- Father, I come to you in repentance for all disobedience to your commandment to honor my father and mother in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for complaining, gossiping about, and speaking towards my father & mother in all ways that are dishonorable to your will in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for speaking and/or complaining about my father & mother to family members, people I’ve come across, or engaging in thoughts that are disrespectful to your will concerning my parents in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for all mocking and haughty looks i’ve given towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. I repent for engaging in arguments and extolling/exalting my counsel towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. I command all spirits of haughty looks, mocking and disrespect hiding in my eyes to get out of my body and go wherever the Holy Spirit demands in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for all movements and gestures I’ve made to spite or act dishonorable and disrespectful towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. All spirits hiding in my flesh, soul and spirit related to disrespectful gestures towards my father & mother, I command you to get out and go where the Holy Spirit demands in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for all pride, anger, mean, hardhearted, and unforgiving spirits I’ve given legality to through the dishonor of my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- I release forgiveness towards my father & mother for all incidents and accidents that occurred during my childhood and/or adult life under their authority or in their presence in Yeshua’s name. I release forgiveness and mercy towards my father & mother for all trauma they may have knowingly or unknowingly inflicted in Yeshua’s name. I release forgiveness towards my father & mother for (insert personal issue) in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for all resentment I’ve held towards my father & mother for all the ways I’ve leaned to my own understanding of how they should treat me in Yeshua’s name.
- I forgive my parents for all the times they’ve compared me to others, belittled me or made me feel incompetent or insignificant in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you for a door and key to becoming wholeheartedly forgiving, loving and merciful towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to reveal all hidden anger and wrath I’ve had towards my parents and to purge me of all wormwood and water of gall I’ve inherited through the dishonor of my parents with your Living Water in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to fully cleanse me with the blood of Yeshua of all hidden hatred, resentment, anger, wrath, unkindness, meanness, impudence, dishonor, rebellion, rejection, capriciousness, moodiness, and overall disrespect towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- I repent for engaging in all spirits that hate instruction from my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. I command all spirits that hate instruction from my father & mother to get out of my body and go to where the Holy Spirit demands in Yeshua’s name. I command all spirits that hate authority and are rebellious against the powers ordained over me to get out of my body in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to take me out of the obscure darkness to view my father & mother from your perspective in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to lighten my eyes so that I may view my father & mother from your perspective in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to guide me to treat my father & mother with the respect, honor, love and kindness that you desire in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to furnish my flesh, soul and spirit to all good works towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. Father, I ask you to undo all reprobation to good works towards my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to teach me how to maneuver around my father and mother in Yeshua’s name. Father, I need you to teach me how to discern the spirits manifesting in my father & mother so that I gain more understanding of your will in Yeshua’s name.
- I command all spirits of hatred, bitterness, guile, malice, resentment, anger, wrath, unforgiveness, meanness, pride (leviathan), unkindness, meanness, impudence, dishonor, capriciousness, moodiness, disrespect, rebellion, rejection and all spirits related to dishonor of my mother and father to leave my body now in Yeshua’s name.
- (This prayer is repeated because different spirits respond when being direct.) I command all spirits of hatred & malice towards my father & mother, guile, resentment & wrath towards my father & mother, anger & pride towards my father & mother, unkindness, meanness, and impudence towards my father & mother, dishonor, capriciousness and moodiness towards my father & mother, disrespect, rebellion and rejection towards my father & mother to get out of my body in Yeshua’s name.
- I loose and bind all previously mentioned names and command them to go wherever the Holy Spirit demands in Yeshua’s name. I cut all cords and sever all ties to spirits related to dishonor of my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- I command all evil recall spirits, evil spirits bringing up memories of times I may have been disregarded, rejected or not cared for in the way I desired by my parents to get out of my body in Yeshua’s name.
- I command all spirits of mental torment recalling memories of times where my father + mother argued or engaged in disagreements or neglected me to get out of my body in Yeshua’s name.
- I forgive my mother and father for all the times that may have unknowingly or knowingly neglected me in Yeshua’s name. I forgive my mother and father for all the times they may have compared me to my siblings in Yeshua’s name. I command all spirits of jealousy and envy towards my siblings to get out of my body and go where the Holy Spirit demands in Yeshua’s name.
- I command all spirits that use images/voices of my mother & father to torment me with past trauma when they have not committed any other actions against me to get out of my body in Yeshua’s name.
- I disarm and dislodge all spiritual children that work with spirits related to the dishonor of my father & mother in Yeshua’s name. All spiritual children, captains, lieutenants, monarchs and principalities associated with dishonor, hatred and anger towards my father & mother, I command you to get out of me NOW in Yeshua’s name. I sever all legality for any spirit of dishonor towards my father & mother to stay in my life in Yeshua’s name.
- I file a bill of divorce from all spirits of dishonor, hatred, trauma, neglect, wrath, anger, envy, meanness, spiritual spouses that feed off of dishonor and anger towards parents, (insert any spirits personal to you) and all spirits related to the disobedience of God’s will in honoring my father & mother in Yeshua’s name.
- I file a counterclaim/report that blocks the enemy from making any claims that I should remain with these spirits in Yeshua’s name.
- Father, I ask you to bring my soul out of all prisons, mountains, valleys, enclosures and technological entrapments of dishonor, disrespect, hatred, envy, anger, wrath, hardheartedness, unforgiveness and all related spirits of disobedience towards my parents in Yeshua’s name.
- I remove all spiritual jewelry, tattoos, (insert any attachment the Holy Spirit brings to mind), hooks, and all other methods of attachment the enemy used to maintain dishonor to my parents by the power of the Holy Spirit in Yeshua’s name.
- I decree and declare that all spirits assigned to bring darkness into my life through the dishonor of my parents have failed their mission in Yeshua’s name.
- I overturn all verdicts that say I won’t have a fruitful relationship with my father & mother in the way God desires in Yeshua’s name.
- Thank you Father, for bringing healing to my relationship with my parents. I give all glory to your name in Yeshua’s name, Amen.
